Riley came into rescue when his previous owner had to make the difficult decision to rehome him due to personal circumstances. He adjusted well in his foster home, getting along splendidly with other Cavaliers. Riley loves to play, run, and nap with his canine companions. He’s also a cuddle enthusiast, always ready to snuggle up and keep you warm.

He responds eagerly when called by name and delights in showering his humans with hugs and kisses upon their return, regardless of the duration of their absence. Riley is a loyal companion, following his loved ones from room to room. While he is comfortable napping in his crate with the door open, he initially feels anxious when it’s closed but settles down shortly after.

Riley was already housetrained upon arrival but had not been neutered, leading to a few marking incidents that ceased post-neutering. Originating from a northern state, he tested positive for a tick-borne disease and is currently undergoing temporary medication. A recent veterinary check-up revealed a minor heart murmur that doesn’t require treatment, and his teeth are in excellent condition. He’s also on preventative measures for heartworms and fleas.

Mealtime excites Riley, and he tends to eat quickly unless given a puzzle bowl to slow him down. He considers himself a vigilant watchdog, alerting his family to unusual sounds but quiets down promptly when addressed. Riley is obedient, coming when called and always ready to accept a healthy treat. His playful, fun-loving, and sweet nature makes him a delightful companion.

Riley has now embarked on a new chapter with his adoptive family, bringing joy and affection into their lives.
